New Lanark walk – May 4th 2014
Just getting round to putting up a few photos of a walk we did earlier this month at New Lanark World Heritage Site. The area is sat on the River Clyde and used to be cotton mills and housing for the workers back in the 1780's...the village has now been restored as a tourist attraction telling the story of the mills (http://www.newlanark.org/).
The walk we did started from the village and took us on a round loop up and over the River Clyde, taking time to stop at a viewing point to see a nesting Peregrine Falcon! The walk was about 7 miles in total, further details can be found here http://www.visitlanarkshire.com/things-to-do/walking/New-Lanark-and-the-Falls-of-Clyde/ if you're interested!
