Start of 2015 :-)
Just a bit of an update since being back in Edinburgh!
On 25th Jan we headed Westwards to Ayr to visit Robert Burns' birthplace (coinciding with his birthday)..the National Trust have built a Museum in the small village where you can also visit the cottage where Burns was born and the Kirk of Alloway and Brig o'Doon that feature in his most famous poems. While visiting the museum we took the opportunity to join up to the National Trust which will get us access to NT places throughout the UK 🙂
We've also been trying to plan something to do in our Easter hols and Mum had set us the deadline of end of Jan to get something booked....so after lots of chats and humming and haaing, on 31st Jan we booked flights to Prague and returning 17 days later from Munich so now have lots of fun research to do to plan where we're going to go!
It's been pretty cold here throughout Jan and Feb and today (1st Feb) we headed into the Pentlands with Pip and George for a walk...we did a loop we've done previously (West Kip, East Kip and Scald Law) but never in the snow! It was a really nice afternoon, which included a bit of sledging on a plastic bag, having a picnic in the sun and ended with a pint in the Waiting Room back in Morners 🙂
