Hoey & Polly’s Italy Wedding!
We had a great time away with Glenn's family celebrating Hoey's wedding to Polly. We were based in the town of Stresa which is situated on the south-west coast of Lake Maggiore in north Italy. We were pretty chilled for the holiday and didn't really do a lot of sight-seeing...opting instead for sauntering around the town and the waterfront stopping every so often for a glass of prosecco or wine 🙂 Apart from a couple of evening thunderstorms and light showers on the morning of the wedding, we had hot sunny weather. The wedding itself was lovely; it took place in a hotel on the waterfront followed by canapes and drinks on the lawn (with the men in kilts getting lots of stares from passing tourists!), a tasty Italian meal and then cake cutting and dancing at the rooftop bar! Having been to Stresa once before during winter, it was great to see the town buzzing with tourists...and a big plus for us was the delicious fresh, homemade food served in the town. Although we were only away for 5 days it was a really nice, relaxing and social break. Congrats Mr & Mrs Jamieson!!
