Well it's been a while! We've had a wonderful, busy, educational, fun and tiring 9 months starting our journey as parents looking after Daisy-Bear. I've been updating Daisy's baby book up to this point to keep a note of her developments, but thought it would be nice to start blogging some of our days out again 🙂
So, today we took Daisy on her first train trip! Taking advantage of the lovely sunny weather, we left the house at 11am and took a wander down to Port Erin. After grabbing a cuppa at the railway station cafe we boarded the 12pm train to Castletown. The trip was fairly short however Daisy seemed to enjoy it, watching the steam going past the window 🙂 We wandered into Castletown square and bought a sandwich (and chelsea bun for me, egg custard for Glenn) which we ate al fresco. After a brief hello from Mum and Gerry who'd been having a coffee in Costa, we headed back to the station and had a nice walk around the park while Daisy had a nap. Then it was time for the 2.30pm return journey, a quick walk around the shops in Port Erin and then back home.
It actually felt like a mini holiday doing something a bit different - a lovely day had by all!
