After years of deliberations, plans, advice, more deliberations, decisions and more plans, we have finally made some good progress on Elly Cottage!
So far:
- we've had our plans agreed (after initial plans were refused) - using Carl Jenkins as Architect Technician.
- Mr Dunkley moved out (renting garage to do up cars) end of July 2020.
- had a digger (Philly) round to remove earth from around the barn and move it up to Margie's top field
- had trees taken down (Roots.im) in Margie's garden that were blocking light on the barn - took 1 day, felled, cut up and cleaned up. Great job!
- put in for our building regs (using Guy Hatton)
- jet washed the inside of the barn to remove the limewash
- in process of getting land signed over from Margie to us (using Long & Humphrey)
And so far this week:
- Glenn has started removing the tiles from the roof
- We have a digger coming tomorrow to remove more earth, Margie's oil tank and lay the oil pipes.
Finally starting to see some progress! Here's a few photos to show where we're up to...I'll try and keep the blog updated as we go along 🙂
