Maughold Walk

Mum and I have been trying to get out for some longer walks now we're allowed within 2 metres of each other(!!) and we finally got our first booked in on 7th June. It was misty over the centre of the Island but sunny and bright elsewhere so we decided to save the walk we have planned (Sulby Reservoir) for another day and head to the Maughold coast. We parked at the 'main' car park in the village (which had a nice playing area attached - perfect for a picnic) and walked down and out through the back of the church graveyard to begin our figure of 8 walk. We then headed on to the coastal path over the Port e Vullen (lovely views) and then back along the road to our starting point. The route then took us back through the church and followed a footpath to the coast on the southern side to a gorgeous beach and viewpoint (Mum you'll have to remind me of the name!). We spotted some seals and continued around the coast to Port Mooar, another lovely little spot, before taking the road back up to Maughold village. Think the walk was about 7 miles in total - really enjoyable!
