Durham
On 25th August I headed down to Durham on the train (nice coastal route) to attend a 'Motivating Clients' event...arriving the evening before I spent a couple of hours walking around the town before heading to Bill's restaurant for tea and then back to the Radisson Blu Hotel. I think Durham is a really nice city - with the river, cathedral, castle and university yet perfectly sized for exploring the shops and attractions without really being able to get lost. The event itself was really useful and gave me some good tips and tools for using in my careers guidance work. After a final walk around after the training I headed back up to the train station and took the 1.5 hour journey back (via Newcastle).
