Almondell walk – 28 Aug
Making the most of my last few days of summer holiday, we headed west to Almondell Country Park for a walk. We'd never been before and had planned a nice 6 mile loop, however when we got to the starting point there were light rain showers and I hadn't brought a jacket (oops!). Also, we weren't feeling that energetic so decided to just walk along the river path to the Almondell Visitor's Centre (about a half hour walk), where we had a play in the playground (along with some 4 year olds!) before dodging heavier showers to get back to the car.
