Glen Rushen Walk 31/08/20
Enjoyed a lovely 5 mile walk with Mum while the sun was shining. Started at Glen Rushen mines, walked down to the river and along the track/footpath to Glen Maye. At this point we were meant to find a path to take us in a diamond shape back across the moorland, however we missed the turning and ended up back on the path skirting Arrasey plantation. So we headed up the hill into Arrasey and walked all the way up to the top entrance of the plantation (don't think I've taken that path before), and then took the track back down to the middle of the plantation and back up to the road before following this back up to the car. The walk took us about 2.5 hours and then we stopped for a nice coffee and cake stop at the Coffee Cottage in South Barrule Plantation 🙂
