Peebles & Glentress Walk – 7 August
After last month's trip down to Peebles we were keen to return and take a bit more time to explore the town...so we found a nice looped walk that took us through the main street and then (in the opposite direction from our last walk) up through the mountain bike and walking trails in Glentress before heading back down across the main road and following the River Tweed back to Peebles. The walk was about 6.5 miles long and took us around 3 hours (including time browsing the shops and stopping for a cuppa half way round)...although it was mainly tracks and trails that weren't that exciting, the views were nice all the way round. Peebles is a lovely bustling market town with plenty of green space...I would definitely recommend a stop off if you're in the area!
