Out of office on……

Friday 22 April Today was another chill day for us - I had a little walk around the shops of Ambleside and then met Glenn at the Apple Pie Cafe for a late breakfast. We then drove to Grasmere and spent a couple of hours walking around the shops and taking a short walk around the lake and back to the village along the road. In the evening we headed out for a pint in The Golden Rule - a lovely little pub we had't been to before. The table we sat at had a glass top with an OS map of the Ambleside/Hawkshead area underneath which was great for discussions of where we'd been this week and on previous holidays to the Lakes! After our drink we made our way back to the pad and had some tea before retiring to bed for our final night in our Ambleside cottage.
